Life, the universe, vodka and coffee.

Good News, Bad News...

The good news (for me at least) is I'm finding the current weather conditions very conducive to creative thought... the bad news is that I've still done absolutely nothing about it. Well, apart from adding a few more ideas to my list.

More importantly, tonight's sidetracking included, but was in no way limited to, the following webpage: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/newseries.shtml. This contains the exceedingly good news that the new radio series of the Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy is starting soon (Tuesday September 21st, 6.30pm, BBC Radio 4). I shall be washing my dressing gown especially for the first show...

Work...

It was back to work today after a week and a bit off, and I'd love to report that I am filled with a renewed vigour and that my motivation and work ethic have been improved. But they haven't. I'm just knackered. That said, I'm also a touch bored and have added to my list of things that I might get around to writing. Could this be the night I actually finally pull my finger out and get creative? Possibly. On the other hand I might get sidetracked. Again...

Vodka...

...is very bad for you. Despite all my good intentions, and many, many mugs of coffee, I've felt so ill for most of today that I haven't done anything. I did manage to write a short list of things that I might trying doing, but that sucked up all my energy.

The internet is quite distracting as well. I sit at my keyboard full of good intentions, but instead of an outpouring of sparkling wit my mind and mouse drifts off to the 2002-3 eruption of Mt Etna, what I'm not going to watch on tele tonight, and so on... I did find something somebody else has written which is quite good though, and linked to another of my many internet distractions: Why I Will Never Have A Girlfriend - I'm sure it's quite old and many people have seen it before but it made me laugh. And feel better about my disastrous personal life.

So because I am now feeling better about my disastrous personal life, I'm having a vodka free night. Oh, and because I'm back at work tomorrow as well. Beware: Morrisons own brand ginger beer is not a good substitute for vodka. Not only for the obvious reason (despite the word beer, it contains no alcohol - shocking) but because it tastes absolutely vile.

Coffee... fags... music...

It's time to write. It's time to banish the dreaded writers block and do some new pages. Er, after I've finished this cup of coffee. Probably...

Hey hey hey hey!!

That works nicely. I am now integrated nicely with the website. And that feels good. Now you need my opinions about things. Damn, that's far harder... I'll get back to you on that one...

Okay...

BlibbleBlog is go, I just gotta think of something to actually write...

I could talk about my currently high levels of anger, but that'd be dull, so instead I'll mention briefly that I have a whole new bunch of ideas for www.fetid.co.uk; how sad it is that the message board is falling into a state of total disrepair, especially when you consider that anybody can post without registering; and that I recently saw a spider that was so big and ferocious looking that I was TOO SCARED to even consider removing it's legs.
