Stupid Dream
Roger Waters (ex Pink Floyd bassist) is out and about doing some gigs this year, apparently doing Floyd stuff. Sod that. Porcupine Tree are also out and about doing some gigs this year doing their own stuff.
I reckon that for the cost of one Water ticket, I can get two tickets for 'Tree and have change for a Floyd tribute band and a couple of pints.
No contest.
Incidentally, any readers with a knowledge of one or two recent Porcupine Tree albums and who have received Waters tickets for Christmas should check out PTs "Stupid Dream" album.
(Ideally the surround sound version with a packet of "Aquadrops" to hand...)

I am a reader with recent Porcupine Tree knowledge who received a Roger Waters ticket for Christmas. I would like to thank you for your suggested listening material. Having purchased a copy of afore mentioned Stupid Dream, I sat down to listen,(minus the aquadrops or other influences/stimulants!!!) and was suitably impressed. I think this will become another well played album in my house.
A good choice! Stimulants are not required, of course, and I wouldn't ever want to encourage the recreational use of any substance. Except perhaps Vodka and Fanta Summer Fruits Zero, of course.
